I’m sorry for the site being offline for so long. It’s been an interesting week. Last Monday, without any warning, my web hosting company suspended my account and sent me a notice that this site had been shut down because it was using up more than its “fair share” of the server resources. They said it was probably from some glitch in a script being run by the main blog program. They told me that once I fixed the problem the site could be opened up again. But they didn’t give me any information about what script it might be, or any specifics on what a “fair share” of server resources would be. Thanks for nothing. So I spent a couple days feeling like this:
After a few days digging around in forums and such, I figured out what was probably causing the problem and how it could be fixed. So I contacted the hosting company, told them I’d figured out how to fix things, and asked them to open the site up enough so I could get access to the blog admin panel and install the fix. They told me they couldn’t give me access until I’d fixed the problem – despite that I had to have access to do it. Catch-22. I felt kinda like the poor elf in the middle here:
During the next few days of standoff, while looking through the hosts FAQ’s and stuff to find a way to go over the heads of the junior web cops who were making things impossible for me, I discovered that the host had changed its Terms of Service sometime during the past year and no longer allowed sites with “Mature Content.” Hmmm. I mellowed some and decided that even though the current lock-out sucked, I was maybe lucky no one there had actually taken a look at Morphians sometime earlier and busted me cuz of all the fucking and sucking going on here. This discovery about the hosts new prudishness, along with its fucked-up refusal to let me get into the site to fix my resources problem, led me to the conclusion that me and that host had pretty much reached this point:
So, I searched around till I found a new “adult friendly” host with the features I wanted, arranged for them to be able to transfer all the files for the site, and bid my old hosting company a fond farewell:
It took a couple days for that to get accomplished, and then a couple more for me to at least temporarily fix the php script problems that had started the whole adventure and repair a few other things that had gotten sorta screwed up by the move. Now, finally, I think things are put together enough for me to put Morphians back online. You most likely will find some things that still aren’t quite right – let me know if you do so I can try to deal with them.
While I was looking around for solutions to my scripting problem, I found some new stuff that has me thinking about doing a major overhaul of the site. I may decide to do that sometime in the future. But for now, I’ve had enough of dealing with website mechanics. After a little R and R, I’m going to get back to making pictures of pretty boys for you all to spend time with:

I was beginning to wonder what had happened. In the back of my mind was this nagging thought that the host had changed a policy without telling you and that you were locked out for that reason but it turns out that they were just being jerks about telling you to fix the problem then not giving you access to fix it. Kind of strange but at least you found an adult friendly site and hopefully we will see more of your pretty boys and elves around for a long time to come. Missed your boys and you very much for this past week. Best of luck in redoing the site at some point and looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future, both in the looks of the site and the boys.

I noticed when sending this last comment above, I got an error message saying it could not post due to duplicate header stuff with lots of numbers and stuff. I tried again and got a different error message saying I had apparently already posted this. I closed the site and reopened it and my post was there. Something you might want to look into. Kind of confusing.

Hi Lost Boy -
I guess it was me who was the lost boy for awhile.
I got the same message on some pages today as I was getting things running. It’s got something to do with the new caching plugin I had to put in to solve the resource use problem. I’ve been able to get rid of it pretty much the same way you did – by refreshing the page or closing the site to clear out the cache for the page. It is kinda confusing, but I haven’t figured out what I need to do to keep it from happening. It’s something that might go away if I do a whole make-over for the site.

I’m afraid this is going to be an ongoing problem (and danger) for sites like this & people like us, what with Big Brother (cum the Thought/Morality Police) now having license to spy with impunity on everyone & everything. But I won’t go off on a rant about this…

To:EvanH, I would ask the government to mind there own business but then again we are its business. I was badly hurt in Vietnam but because it took almost 30 years to become a problem our wonderful government says there is a statute of limitation on filing for V.A. benifits, and seeing that I collect Social Security I am getting too much from that to get anything from the VA, added to that this year there was no increase in SS Benefits, what I am trying to say is if they were to help people like me and leave Internet sights like yours alone. If your sight gave step by step instructions on how to build a bomb out of whats in most kitchens then I would be 1st in line to have it shut down but what you do is true art I know I’ve been to the Louve and seen some items that that would curl your toes but it is art and I love both but beauty is as the man says in the eye of the beholder I hope that your sight goes on for ever or at least as long as I am above ground.

so what next on morphians or does still little more fix up i would kind like with chat you if have yahoo or have those 3d online chat site like imvu and other like it if it ok with you that i don’t want keep you busy your with work and kind always having a few new idea in my head lol
